ARTISTS / Darren McNamee

At the age of seventeen Darren began painting using paints found in skips and building sites, painting in an movement style, off derelict buildings, factories and their workers, displaying in the Custard factory gallery Birmingham.


Moving to Cornwall Darren studied Cornish artists and began painting sea and land scape using oil on canvas, influenced by Alfred Wallace, Darren began placing them into galleys mostly in Marazion.


Moving to Wales Darren showed paintings in Nick Hollies gallery, Glen Vivian and in the Mumbles still painting on oil and canvas.

Darren stopped painting for several years until a recent trip to Cornwall where he began painting in water colour and ink, smaller pieces of work, style naïve art, of fields, sea, land scape and fishermen collecting their catch.
