Like his wife Carole, Peter Evans was largely self taught and attended classes at the University of Wales under the guiding hand of inspirational teacher, Mike Freeman, whose influence is strongly evident in his work.

There is an immensely appealing, whimsical quality to his work and a natural appreciation of colour and tone. Undeniably Welsh painting in their subtlety and understatement they are also narrative pictures, closely observed cameos of everyday life in which he clearly delighted in producing.  

Peter was born in 1950, he has exhibited throughout Wales, The Cotswolds and London.
