ARTISTS / Elaine Graham
Born in Vancouver, Elaine starting painting at the age of nine, inspired by the elemental grandeur of British Columbia.
With a Fine Arts degree from the University of Toronto, she won numerous graduate distinctions before emigrating to the UK and in 2003 set up a studio in rural West Wales, drawn by the magic and mystery of the Welsh landscape.

She is a member of the King Street Gallery cooperative, exhibits in galleries across Wales and is represented in private collections in the UK and internationally.
What inspires Elaine's approach to painting? “I fell in love with the ancient voices of the land, ever changing moods of light and colour and the wild energy of the sea colliding with cliffs. In its elemental power there is a sublime dimension; a ‘genius loci’ that reaches deep into the soul and, I hope, resonates in my work.”
