Lesley studied fine art at Sheffield University, creating life size metal figures before entering a career in Set Design in the film and television industries.

In recent she has returned to fine art, as a painter, art teacher running her own classes and workshop, and as acting Arts Coordinator for AWEN.

Recent work explores the exuberance and translucence of natural form when touched by light.  Her seascapes reflect the magical effects of weather and light and the glory of sunrise and sunset by the sea.

Movement has always been central to Lesley's work, reflected in the ongoing practice of life drawing and rapid figure sketching.   Life, energy and light; the tiny vibration of flora, the flicker of water in sea and sky, the twist or reach of an arm.
