'A VIEW FROM YOUR WINDOW'

2020 VIRTUAL LANDSCAPE COMPETITION

 

 

Queen Street Gallery Virtual Landscape Competition - is the first virtual competition the gallery will be running in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 crisis it replaces our annual plein air landscape competition.

We welcome entries of original works from established practitioners and emerging artists of all professions and disciplines. Work can be submitted in any medium, up to a maximum size limit of  100cm x 100cm – from painting, drawing and printmaking. Working to the theme 'A View From Your Window'.

The prizes include the first prize of £100 second prize £50, third prize £25 plus a People’s choice prize. All entrants work will be shown in a digital exhibition with the winners and finalists work displayed in the gallery in Spring 2021.

 

There is no entry charge for the virtual competition/exhibition. However selected work for the gallery exhibition in Spring 2021 will incur a £10 hanging fee

Entry photo guidelines

Please upload your photo as a jpeg file

The maximum file size is 3MB

The image must be at least 1000px wide

The resolution of the photo should be at least 72 dpi and no more than 300 dpi

Please ensure the photo is an accurate representation of the real-life artwork

The photo should be taken in strong light, and natural daylight where possible

Please make sure the picture is clear and in focus

The photo should only be of the painting itself

There should be no additional content, such as frames, mounts, walls, tables or any other kind of background
