ANNUAL OPEN ART EXHIBITION 2022

Featuring 50 stunning pieces of artwork selected from over 80 entries

We are proud to present our Annual Open Exhibition. Every year, we invite members of the public to submit artwork to our popular Open exhibition. The exhibition celebrates a broad range of painting, drawing, print, and craft.

This year, the judges were - fine artists, Rosemary Cassidy Buswell and Paul Rossi, ceramicists, Anna Hale and Julie Brunskill, artist and illustrator, Tony Botto.

We are delighted to announce this year's prize winners:

First Prize was awarded to Leslie Dearn for her painting ‘Gilt Edge’.  Sandra Wintle came in second with ‘Shoreline 1’, followed by Gary Francis in third place for ‘Busy Day.

Nick Hawksworth and Amanda Puleston were both highly commended by the judges for discerning use of colour and mastery of their chosen medium.

The People’s Choice Prize will be announced at the end of the exhibition.

We received a host of impressive entries again this year and we are delighted to share a selection of winners and selected entries with you on our video of the exhibition currently showing at our gallery in Queen Street.
