Paul Rees

 

Paul Rees’s paintings depict the backstage environment of the theatre. These shadowy areas - rarely seen by those outside of the theatrical world - show actors ‘waiting in the wings’, a time of quiet contemplation as they prepare for the performance to come in the bright lights before an audience.

Paul was born in Pontypool in 1971, and raised in Neath where he continues to live.
