Indian Block Printing with Lesley Collier
 
Enjoy a short taster session of using Indian Blocks. Come to a workshop and have a go at seeing what the possibilities are by using this traditional form of pattern making and design.
The session will last for an hour and you will leave having learned the basics in Indian block printing.
 
You will get an opportunity to test out your designs on fabric and paper and leave with samples of cards, gift tags and a piece of fabric to start you on your printing journey!
 
What is Indian Block Printing?
 
Block printing is a printing technique originating from India using carved wooden blocks and is inspired by the large printing blocks that are used to print fabric in India.
 
Wooden blocks are just so simple to use. From fabric to paper, you can create designs on a huge range of different materials. Anything from cushion covers, tea towels to wrapping paper, there’s no limit to what you can create.
