“I am a ceramicist and painter based in Hay on Wye.
My ceramics are made from white and red earthenware,fired three times and painted with coloured glazes and lustre.
My work is narrative and figurative and has a free form energy.I enjoy describing places I visit .Popular culture also interests me and I like to make the universal have a personal resonance. I treat the 3d shape as a canvas.
My paintings also have a sense of place.I am inspired by American Realism and some of my work is ‘Americymru.”I am a colourist reveling in the juxtaposition of hues.
I hope the paintings have a sense of mystery.”
