Suzanne Callen is a figurative painter who lives and works in Swansea, multiple artforms have informed her practice including sculpture, animation and time based artforms.

These different areas of creative expression have been significant in her development in that she tries to convey an element of ‘ebb and flow’ in all work, utilising different tempos within the painting that is created through brushstroke, composition and colour.

As an artist Suzanne has developed a particular relationship with oil-based media which melds time with additive and subtractive application and the layering process.
