Queen Street is holding an art auction, with proceeds from the sale of artworks will be donated directly to the Red Cross Children’s Gaza Appeal.

Artists and craftspeople have generously donated works for this cause.  We will exhibit the auction work at Queen Street Gallery, Neath, from Saturday 10th to Saturday 31st, with the auction itself taking place on Sunday, February 1st, starting at 11am in Queen Street Gallery, Neath.

OPEN ART COMPETITION 2026

Queen Street Gallery will be holding their eighth Open Art Competition from February 7th - 28th, 2026. 

Join us for the opening on Saturday 7th February, 2pm.

The competition provides an exciting opportunity for amateur and professional artists to celebrate creativity side by side in Queen Street Gallery's exhibition space.

We’ve been overwhelmed with the response this year; we’ve had the highest number of entries we’ve ever had!

Seeking Space and Stillness by Matt Williams

Matt was the winner of our Open Art Competition last year and he will be exhibiting his work alongside this year’s open competition.

The show opens on Saturday February 7th at 2pm and runs until Saturday February 28th

‘Seeking Space and Stillness’ brings together a collection of oil paintings that explore quiet moments of looking. Through a slow, reflective studio practice and a focus on shifting light and transitional moments, the work seeks to capture the air, distance, and atmosphere that sit between the viewer and the landscape, inviting pause, attention, and stillness.
