Summer Exhibition 2026

Our annual summer exhibition is now on display featuring incredible and varied work from our gallery artists.

The show is in both of our gallery venues, The Canterbury Lofts and QSG studios (40 Queen Street).

The show runs until Saturday August 29th 

Dim Dihangfa. An Illustrated Talk with Iwan Bala

We are excited to annouce that Iwan Bala will be presenting an illustrated talk here at Queen Street Gallery on Saturday 29th August at 5:30pm.

"The title suggests that I have little choice but to make the work I make, it is driven by my identity and my heritage, political and historical reality and mythical, poetic readings of my culture and landscape. I think of my work as 'field-notes', it is informed by the past, but is 'Here and Now'."

Iwan's talk will last an hour approx, with time for questions following. He will show and discuss work from his career, focusing more on work from the last two years.

Art Textiles: Made in Britain are a group of textile artists from around the UK. Formed in 2013 with the aim to promote British art textiles, to introduce them to new audience, and to continually explore new and vibrant work both as individuals and as a group.

Exploring the unexpected beauty of post-industrial Wales

​September 5th - 26th

"I have had a longstanding fascination with the Welsh landscape, since first visiting as a teenager. I am equally inspired by the industrial past of the south Wales valleys, quarries within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park or the slate mines of north Wales. My work also draws inspiration from visits to UK coastlines in Pembrokeshire and beyond."

Calls for Art

We have a number of exciting calls for art scheduled to run alongside our regular exhibitions for the rest of the year. A En Plein Air event in Porthcawl, After the Romans, Noir and Pantomime.
